Region 8 Student and Young Professionals Congress, which is organized once in two years, was held in Regensburg in Germany this year. More than a hundred IEEE members from Africa, Europe and Middle East gathered on 17-21th of August and participated in seminars and workshop, whilst being able to communicate with other IEEE members in different countries.

Our 2015-2016 Student Branch Chairs Arda Kaygan and Pelin Pulcu represented IEEE Koç University Student Branch in Germany.

Our student branch won Exemplary Student Branch Award. The purpose of this award is to provide public recognition of exemplary IEEE Student Branch operations.

 Boğaziçi University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Isparta Süleyman Demirel University, İstanbul Technical University, Izmir High Technology Institute and Middle East Tehnical University were also awarded this certificate.

Participants from Turkey Section Student Branches also presented Turkish culture while knowing other countries’ cultures. Because of outstanding representation of the participants in social media, host universities awarded Turkey Section with little presents.
